‘Wright Angles’ is a word play on my Wright family name and my passion for human rights.

I work with textiles (fabrics and yarns, crocheted, knitted, knotted, stitched, woven), paper and card (printed, folded, cut, glued) to create original practical homewares and delightful gifts. I sell these Wright Angles Originals creations at community markets around Melbourne and online around Australia.

I choose to participate in community markets that reflect my personal values. These markets give back to their local communities and also support local artisans offering locally made/grown/baked products (especially fair trade, eco friendly and social enterprises). I see this as a WIN:WIN situation in every way!

AN ADDED ‘FEEL GOOD’ FACTOR

I donate all the profits from sales of Wright Angles Originals items to my favourite human rights and social justice projects that make a positive difference in our world.

These donations are only possible because of the kindness and generosity of the customers who purchase my products and the friends who donate materials for my use.

So … when you purchase a Wright Angles Originals hand crafted creation from me, you also are helping someone else! It is remarkable how generosity benefits both the giver and the receiver!

In 2019, I donated A$300 to The Fred Hollows Foundation, A$300 to Medecins Sans Frontieres (Doctors Without Borders), A$200 to The Purple House, A$120 to ICAN (International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons) and A$100 to the Asylum Seekers Resource Centre.

Despite interruptions caused by the COVID19 pandemic, I have made even greater donations in 2020 and 2021.

Over the years, I also have supported Amnesty International, Grandmothers Against Detention of Refugee Children, Grandmothers for Refugees, Kapululangu Aboriginal Women’s Law and Culture Centre, Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness and Research Centre, Tiny Toones Cambodia and Tjuntjuntjara Women’s Centre.

Each Wright Angles Originals item is an original, one-off creation – nothing is mass produced! This means that each item is unique and my products are available in limited quantities.

This means that my products are ever changing and there may be variations in colours, trims or finishes from the products pictured.
